Anybody know how to start a car that's been sitting idle for 10 months? When I put the key in, all the dashboard lights come on like normal, but when I turn it, the engine gives one or two quiet grumphs and won't turn on.

1. Fuel.
2. Battery (Engine will rotate slowly or not at all if battery is not fully charged.)
3. Spark Plugs (Check for fouling.)
4. Starting Solenoid.
5. Starter. (Not necessary if starter actually does rotate.)
6. Check carburetor to make sure fuel is getting to it.
7. Fuel pump.
What make, model, etc? (Although it sounds like a weak battery to me.)

It's a '96 Dodge Intrepid. I'll check out what you mentioned. At least I'll try--I'm pretty much ignorant about cars.
