Not understanding, but definitely seeing and feeling the emotional turmoil she was in, I gave her a big hug, and said, "It'll be okay, it'll be okay." She continued to shake her head sadly and repeat, I am broken... I am broken."
On my way out the door, she said it again.. and then I understood...
She said, "I am broken... I am broken... I have no money."
